Hey girls!
Do you enjoy baking and trying new recipes like I do? If so, here's another one for you to try: cinnoman roll bites.
They are super easy to make and yummy!
RECIPE:2 cups flour
1 tbsp backing powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup cold butter
3/4 - 1 cup cold milk
[NOTE: I put in 3/4 cups of milk and the dough was pretty sticky. I added more flour and all was fine.]
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
Glaze >>
1/3 cup icing sugar
1-2 tbsp milk (enough to bring glaze together)
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt,
Cut the butter into cubes and add to the bowl. Cut the butter with a pastry cutter or fork until butter is in pea-sized pieces.
Stir in milk gradually, adding just enough so that the dough comes together. Bring together in a ball with your hands (if you add too much milk, add more flour)
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease the sides of a 9-10" pie plate. Place 3-4 tbsp melted butter in the bottom of the pie plate and swirl to coat the bottom.
In a medium bowl, combine brown sugar, sugar and cinnamon. Roll dough into 1" balls and dip in cinnamon sugar mixture and place in the pie plate. **[NOTE: I had a lot left over from the cinnamon sugar mixtue, enough for another batch.]**
Drizzle melted butter over dough balls in the pan.
Bake for 23-26 minutes until biscuits are cooked and butter/sugar mixture is bubbling in the bottom of the pan.
Pour glaze over warm balls.
Let me know if you try this recipe and how it turns out!
"Oh taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." Psalm 34:8
They look really yummy! I think I'll try them out (after 'vegan-izing' them, which shouldn't be too hard, given the simple ingredients). :)
