DAY 29 // a childhood memento I'm thankful for

Curious George stuffed animals + books. Mom has collected them for me for as long as I can remember! [I have LOTS more that aren't in this picture!] Monkeys were always my favorite animal when I was little. :)

What childhood memento are you thankful for?

God will always provide. It just might look different than what we had in mind.

DAY 28 // a tradition I'm thankful for

Each year, we have my dad's family over on Thanksgiving day. Yesterday, we got Alana [on the left], who hates coffee, to drink HALF A CUP! :)

What tradition are you thankful for?

It's not happy people who are thankful, it's thankful people who are happy.

SNOW! I love snow. ;)

This quilt. My great-Grandma made it. My sister and I use it on our bed.

Clouds. I love clouds.

What part of nature are you thankful for?

The lane beside our house + the corn field + wooden fence + trees.

When you cannot sleep at night, have you ever thought maybe it's God saying

A yummy fruit filled Kalanches that mom made a few days ago.

My zebra pillow-pet, Snuggles. :) I sleep with him every night [I really do!].

So thankful for my warm coat! Especially on cold, fall days like today!

DAY 18 // something in my home I'm thankful for

Our piano. I love playing this and *sometimes* learning new songs!! :) My favorite song to play right now is "the Rose" from Titanic. I also am enjoying learning songs out of "My Heart, Your Home" song book by the Wissmann family!

This is one of my new favorite songs from the Wissmann's CD, "My Heart, Your Home."
I like the part about "learning knowledge in our youth. . ." because that is what all young girls should be doing - using their single years to learn and grow in the Lord.

DAY 16 // an animal I'm thankful for

Hmm - I wasn't sure what to do for this one! Right away I thought of a panda bear because they are my favorite animal. :) But since I've never seen one in person, I decided to do an animal I did have a picture of. 

Birds. God has made some really beautiful ones! My younger sisters LOVE birds and like to watch them at our bird feeder. Lately we've been seeing a very neat wood pecker, but I've never been able to get a picture of it. Pictured above is a dove that I took while we were in Virginia farm sitting for family.

DAY 15 // a technology I'm thankful for

Our computer + laptop. So thankful to be able to have a blog, edit pictures, watch videos, read friend's blogs, and email!

DAY 14 // a smile I'm thankful for

This little girl. She is my very sweet cousin and I just love her! I love all little people and getting them to smile + giggle is so much fun!

DAY 13 // a color I'm thankful for

Aqua blue. It has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember!! You may be wondering how I found a blue acorn...so here's what we did: we painted them! It was a fun fall project me, mom, and my sisters did one afternoon! We now have many different colored ones scattered around the house! And yes, that is snow! We got our first snow today!!

Our coffee maker. I LOVE coffee and don't know what I would do without this thing!

DAY 11 // a time of the day I'm thankful for

the afternoon. 

On the day I took this photo the sky + clouds + fall colors looked so beautiful together!

 I love clear, blue skies with occasional clouds. :)
